Southgate Library Invites Florin Teens to November 12 Drop-In Social Hour

FLORIN, Sacramento County — November 1, 2026. Teenagers in the Florin area have a local place to meet peers and spend time together through Sacramento Public Library’s Teen Space program.

The next listed session is Thursday, November 12, from 4 to 5 p.m. in the Southgate Library meeting room, 6132 66th Avenue, Sacramento.

Who can participate?

Southgate’s listing specifies ages 13 through 19 and says advance registration is not necessary. Teens can drop in for a social gathering focused on connecting with other young people in a public library setting.

The description emphasizes an informal space for meeting people and spending time together rather than a formal class, employment workshop or mental health service. The library may offer activities, but the November 12 page does not promise specific games, food, school credit or counseling.

Why local access matters

Public libraries serve as gathering spaces for people who may have limited transportation or few affordable after-school activities. Families can ask library staff about safe pickup arrangements, accessibility and other youth programs at Southgate.

Visitors should verify the meeting remains scheduled, especially if a branch closure or special program affects regular operations. The library’s information telephone number is (916) 264-2920.
