Free STEAM Activities for Florin Children at Southgate Library November 7

FLORIN, Sacramento County — November 1, 2026. Children ages 6 to 12 can explore science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics at a community library program scheduled for Saturday, November 7, from 2 to 3 p.m.

The STEAM for Kids program takes place at Southgate Library, 6132 66th Avenue, Sacramento, CA 95823. Sacramento Public Library describes the session as an opportunity to experiment with creative activities and hands-on projects.

No advance registration required

The official event calendar describes drop-in participation, with no registration necessary. Families should still verify that the program is proceeding and understand that individual activities and materials may depend on turnout.

STEAM activities introduce children to different forms of problem-solving, creativity and collaboration. They can be especially useful for families looking for local opportunities outside the school day. The library does not specify which particular project or equipment will be used on November 7, so residents should not assume a robotics kit, 3D printer or take-home gift will be available.

Planning a visit

Parents can use the event calendar to confirm any age restrictions or supervision expectations. For accessibility questions or schedule changes, call (916) 264-2920. Southgate Library also provides public computers, Wi-Fi and other services during its normal branch hours, which are separate from the one-hour children’s program.
